WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL YEAR KINDERMUSIK CLASSES INFORMATION PAGE FOR ROSEN JCC! We are so glad you are here.  Are you new to Grow and Sing Studios? We invite you to attend a $5 PREVIEW CLASS. This page contains class descriptions, pricing, and registration links for all of our Rosen JCC school year programming which is August through May. We have two programs, school year and summer. Our school year program is 35 weeks long, and our summer program is 8 weeks long. These programs require separate registrations. If you have any questions contact us. We are here to help.

This school year we are excited to offer Kindermusik classes at the Rosen JCC in Dr. Phillips. Throughout the school year, there are several curriculum themes plus special seasonal classes (like Fall/Autumn, Winter, and Valentine’s) so music and activities stay fresh, new and exciting. Each time a theme changes, you’ll receive a new book and each time you “level up” to a new class, you’ll receive a new instrument to add to your home collection as well. YAY! All units and themes are on a two-year rotation so content remains fresh and new for continuing families. Enrollment also includes level specific access to music through the Kindermusik App. Joining us mid-month? Enroll for school year classes ANYTIME. We pro-rate.

School Year Membership Pricing

Rosen JCC members receive $5 off of the per month pricing.
Regularly $85 per month ($80 for Rosen JCC members) for our upcoming 2025-2026 school year monthly membership, which guarantees your space through May 2025 and includes all Kindermusik take home books and instruments. Make sure to mention you are a Rosen JCC member on your registration form below to receive $5 off monthly tuition. Our 2025-2026 School Year Monthly Membership includes 35 classes and goes from August – May. (Please note that while it appears the payments cover each individual month, essentially we have taken the number of weeks of class tuition and broken it up into 10 easy $85 payments). Become a Grow and Sing Studios member at any time, tuition is pro-rated based on when you join. Sign up for 2 or more classes or children, get $10 off per month. Please note that any multiple class or child pricing (along with any other deductions that need to be made as per your note during registration) listed above will be adjusted AFTER you enroll. We review all registrations prior to any charges being made. Our system computes classes on the full price basis only and we adjust for you after we receive! Thank you! 

Kindermusik Foundations – School Year

Make baby’s first class musical! Our Foundations classes offer a sensory-rich yet caring and gentle environment where infants can explore and react to new sounds, sensations, and objects. Shared activities for babies and their caregivers provide the opportunity to strengthen your connection with your child through joyful music-making experiences. Through a unique blend of multi-level activities that includes creative movement, vocal play, object and instrument exploration, and a colorful literature component, your baby’s growth and development are stimulated and all of his/her senses engaged.

What a Parent and Child Will Experience in Foundations Class:

Variety of Music — Musical diversity builds strong neural in a baby’s forming mind, which is why each Kindermusik semester contains an array of styles, sounds, and genres.
Instrument Play — Age-appropriate experiences with child-safe instruments enhance a sense of rhythm and steady beat, develops a keen awareness of the distinguishing qualities of sound, and encourages spontaneity and creativity.
Dance — A classroom full of baby and adult pairs dancing together helps a little body develop the muscle strength needed to crawl and walk and helps a little heart to fall in love with the sheer joy of responding to music.
Together Time — A Kindermusik class is truly the essence of “quality time,” offering the parent a place to create special memories with their child, gain new insights into their child’s development, and nurture their child’s natural love of music.
Expert Advice — A Kindermusik Educator explains “what-to-watch-for” every step of the way and how each activity enhances a child’s complete development.
Learning Continues at Home — With the Kindermusik materials, the learning continues at home with the child’s best teacher—the parent!

Kindermusik Mixed Age – School Year

In a Kindermusik Mixed-age Class, you’ll play instruments together, dance together, share, and take turns, and see how music can bring you closer as a family. A one-room schoolhouse approach to music. With older children ready to show the little one’s how it’s done and the younger ones eager to learn, Mixed Age Class becomes a multi-layered learning environment.
Each week, a Kindermusik Educator will introduce basic musical concepts and then give you the instruments, fun props, and the structured free time to put those concepts into play. Our mixed-age classes are perfect for families with children of any age between newborn and 7. These classes allow infants through seven-year-olds—and their caregivers—to gather together for a fun-filled learning experience. Your Kindermusik educators will help you modify movement activities, group dances, and instrument-play activities so all children can enjoy at their developmental stage. Mixed-age classes offer the perfect setting for weekly family bonding time and inspire ideas for music exploration, play, and more fun at home. You can bring one or more children to this class of varying ages.

Kindermusik Level 3 – School Year

Did you know that preschoolers have a natural love of music? Level 3 classes use music to boost language skills, confidence, social-emotional skills, self-control, and more. Parents and caregivers join a portion of each class to participate in the music-making.

What to expect in class: 

Listening – “What does that sound like?” Level 3 students are exposed to the sounds of individual instruments as well as music that highlights different genres, cultures, and composers.
Complex Instrument Play – Let’s turn it up a notch…children will participate in dances that include instruments, back-and-forth instrument play, and play patterns to songs.
Movement Variety – Grab a partner! Children will experience creative movement, group dances, movement with props, and more.
Pretend Play – “Imagine that you’re a…” Your child will engage in pretend play in various ways, such as music, storytelling, listening, and movement.
Language and Literacy – Children increase phonological awareness, focused attention, communication skills, and vocabulary.
Cognitive Development – The connections in the brain that are used to integrate new learning, make decisions, and think critically are strengthened.
Musical Skills – Level 3 students show increased pitch accuracy when singing and gain a better understanding of rhythm patterns.
