This Summer we are overjoyed to offer in-person classes in a safe and loving environment. It’s been over a year, and we can’t express how grateful we are that we are still here, our entire team intact! Since we are resuming after more than a year of in-person classes, we are starting simple with Kindermusik Mixed Age classes and Kindermusik Foundations classes for babies. Descriptions for both are below. We are limiting class sizes to 10 children maximum. Since all of our locations are large, we feel this number allows for social distancing. Click here to view our Covid-19 in-person policies. Some of our locations are not yet open to rentals but we have listed the classes we are able to at this time. Our Lake Nona location has not yet opened, but we are in discussions with the facility. Our downtown location has unfortunately gone out of business, so we will, in time seek out a new space. We hope to see you in one of our locations available at this time which are: UCF, Winter Park, Winter Garden and Port Orange. You also have the option of adding on our unlimited online virtual classes (7 fun online classes each week) which would be a beautiful supplement throughout your week! Links to register are below, just keep scrolling! When you click to register, you’ll have the option to add on our Kindermusik virtual+ online program for $50 PER FAMILY which will give you access to our 7 online classes per week.

Class Length: 45 minute class with caregiver
Class Schedule: 2 – 5 week sessions (A & B)

Icon-Kindermusik-Mixed-Age-Solid-600x600-2017croppedOur mixed-age classes are perfect for families with children of any age between newborn and 7. Your Kindermusik educators will help you modify movement activities, group dances, and instrument-play activities so all children can enjoy at their developmental stage. Mixed-age classes offer the perfect setting for weekly family bonding time and inspire ideas for more music exploration, play, and more fun at home. If your child isn’t yet walking, and there are no older siblings attending, we recommend our Kindermusik Foundations class.

This Summer we present:

Session A – Zoo Train
Choo-choo! It’s all aboard the Allee-Allee O as we sway like a locomotive, explore different animals and their habitats, and experience all of the exciting things you might find at a open range zoo (including a ride on the carousel). Stomp like an elephant, wibble wobble like a penguin, and bounce like a kangaroo through this song-and-dance-filled train adventure! In a Kindermusik summer adult/child class, blow music bubbles. Play parachute games. Sing. All these summer camp like activities—the music, stories, and crafts—are designed to nurture your children’s natural curiosity, one that eventually draws them toward learning new words, new numbers, and new big ideas.

Session B – One Red Wagon
Follow the journey of one little boy, his one big idea, and his one red wagon. Through song, dance, and activities, we’ll explore things like colors and vegetables, and what it means to be a good neighbor. Plus, your child will see how creativity, teamwork, and never giving up can make a lasting (and beautiful!) difference.

This Summer we present:

Session A – Busy Days
From the grocery store to the doctor’s office, families spend a lot of time on the go! For little ones, waiting (whether in the car or in a long line at the register) can be a trigger for meltdowns. Busy Days helps you pass the time with musical learning and fun—a combination of classical melodies (from composers like Bach) and catchy rhymes are designed to refocus attention and spark joy anywhere!

Session B – I See You
There’s a reason “peekaboo” games bring out all the giggles with little ones. In these special classes, you’ll find out why, as we dive into concepts like spatial awareness, cause and effect, and more. Plus, we’ll sing, dance, and explore new sounds all centered around the joy and delight that follow these three words: I See You!

SCHOOL YEAR LOGO 2021 - 2022We are SO excited to start a school year in our typical fashion with in-person and many location options to choose from. As we begin, more locations may be added as well! This school year we are excited to offer Oviedo/UCF, Winter Park, Winter Garden, Lake Nona and Port Orange. We will still closely monitor Covid-19 as it relates to young children and do everything we can do to protect your little ones. FAQ:
What class should I enroll in if my baby is just about 12 months but isn’t walking yet?
Kindermusik classes are arranged more by developmental stage, not numerical age. If your baby isn’t walking yet, enroll in Kindermusik Foundations. As soon as the walking milestone happens, you’ll be invited to “walk on up” (or graduate) to the Level 1 class. The idea is for Level 1 to be all walkers and Foundations to be all non-walkers.

Kindermusik Level 2 – School Year

Age Range: 2 years – 3 1/2 years old
Class Length: 45 minute class with caregiver
Class Schedule: Held once a week with scheduled breaks (see calendar at bottom of page)

Kindermusik Level 2 is designed for children 2 years to 3.5 years of age, along with an accompanying parent or caregiver. Children and caregivers meet weekly for a 45-minute class. Level 2 classes encourage older toddlers to initiate their own ideas, nurturing social-emotional growth and cognitive development in a playful, exploratory environment. Playing instruments, singing, moving, and exploring uncover an engaging musical world while building the toddlers’ confidence, self-control, and communications skills. For the toddler, every day brings new discoveries and opportunities to explore the world.  Despite a display of independence, the toddler child still longs for the safety and security of parental closeness. During this time, toddlers still relish the comfort of the familiar while also seeking the challenge of something new.

Kindermusik Level 2 encourages children to be creative, to initiate their own ideas and to respond in their own ways, while the caregiver’s active participation gives the toddlers the security they need.

toddler1What a Parent and Child Will Experience in Class:

Instrument exploration and ensemble skill development
— Children will explore the physical characteristics and sounds of age-appropriate instruments which will eventually lead them to discover their potential for beat, rhythm, melody, and ensemble playing.
Vocal play — Through vocal play, toddlers learn to form vowels and consonants, say words and phrases, and imitate rhythm and vocal inflection. In Kindermusik Level 2, vocal play is presented within the context of songs, chants, and activities done in class.
Exploration Time — Children will love discovering specially designed instruments, textures, sounds, and movements.
Story time and early literacy — Listening to stories enhances language and speech development and fosters awareness of sounds, teaches use of language, and sends the message that words and symbols have meaning. The same experiences that help toddlers learn to read a book also help them learn to read music.
Movement Activities — Each class provides various opportunities for movement such as synchronized movement, group dances and circle games, and even expressive movement.
Together Time — Kindermusik is the essence of quality time, allowing caregivers to make the most of the fleeting toddler years, giving them the time and the tools to make music and memories together in class and at home.
Expert advice — A Kindermusik educator explains how the musically based activities enhance a toddler’s complete development.

Kindermusik Level 3 – School Year

Age Range: 3 – 5 years
Class Length: 45 minute class with caregiver
Class Schedule: Held once a week with scheduled breaks (see calendar at bottom of page)
First 35 – 40 minutes are teacher/children only. Caregiver and siblings join in the last few minutes of class for sharing time.

Kindermusik Level 3 is designed for active, energetic, enthusiastic, and imaginative 3 to 5 year olds and encourages socialization, sharing, and participating in musical group activities. Level 3 classes are designed to engage preschoolers’ natural love of music and activate their imaginations, while developing their growing language and social-emotional skills. Parents and siblings are invited to participate in the last few minutes for Sharing Time of the 45-minute class.

preschool3What a Child Will Experience in Class:

Pretend Play — Pretend play activities are integrated with music, vocal development, storytelling, listening, movement, and literacy aspects of each class. When based upon a child’s real life experiences, pretend play helps develop language, sensory, motor, and cognitive skills.
Musical Variety and Singing — Activities include a mixture of musical genres and styles and provide a setting for children to explore their many voices and to use a “singing voice.” Singing helps with memory and recall, physical development, creativity, and socialization.
Storytelling and Literacy — Each class is built on the development of a story, so you’ll hear preschoolers search for the word to say what they mean and try to keep up with their busy minds, emerging wants, needs, likes, and dislikes.
Parent Involvement — Preschoolers are learning to be self-sufficient in a group setting of peers, while many times still needing the emotional security provided by a parent. The preschooler experiences both in Kindermusik Level 3. Caregivers participate in the last few minutes of class. Plus the Kindermusik Kit ensures the learning continues at home with each child’s best teacher—the parent!
